Yeast

Yeast and yeast products are used in the value-added animal feed market to improve production efficiency, end product quality and animal welfare. The most commonly used yeast species is Saccharomyces cerevisiae or baker's yeast.

Live Yeast

Live yeast (or active dry yeast) is whole yeast that has been dried to typically give between 10-25 billion yeast cells or colony forming units per gram. It is used mainly for ruminants, particularly high-yielding dairy cows and fast-growing beef cattle, with additional uses in calves, sows, piglets and rabbits.

Yeast Cell Wall & Contents

A number of products resulting from the hydrolysis of yeast cells are becoming more widely used, mainly in aqua, poultry and pig feeds. These include yeast cell wall and content products such as mannans, glucans and nucleotides, which can help improve animal immunity as well as reduce intestinal microbial load.
